The British viewed Indians as unprivileged and primitive, incompetent of administering themselves. In acknowledgment, Indians started viewing into the past to explore India's great accomplishments.
They started reproducing about the magnificent developments in biblical times when art and construction, mathematics, religion , astronomy, literature, government, philosophy, crafts and trade had prospered in India.
