(a) Rotation: The movement of protoplasm is in one direction (clock-wise or anticlockwise) around vacuole inside a cell, e.g., leaf cells of the Hydrilla, Vallisneria etc. (b) Circulation: The protoplasm moves in different directions around different vacuoles inside a cell e.g., staminal hairs of Tradescantia.
