self inductance: it's means that in the coil when flowing in current that are self produce electric current and magnetic field,. and due to magnetic field current also produced in the coil . which are cancel each other. i.e total current will becomes zero.

mutual inductance: it's means that one coil is when flowing in current through the coils magnetic field are produced. hence another coils which are mutually bonded with first coil electric current and magnetic field also produced due to induction. this phenomenon is called mutual inductance. discuss for method of determining self inductance:. 1. check out the coils current is flow through them

3. check magnetic flux.
