A spin precision is a change in the orientation of the rotational axis.
If it happens that the axis of rotation of a body is itself rotating about a second axis that body is said to be precessing about the second axis.
There are 2 types of precision:
1.Torque free precession
There is no external momentum that is applied to the body.
The angular momentum is constant whereas the angular velocity varies with the time.
2.Torque induced precession
It is also known as gyroscopic precession.
This is the case in which the axis of the spinning object Eg. a gyroscope describes a cone in space when an external torque is applied to it.
