Hey mate !!

Here's the answer !!

We know that Blood flows twice in the heart.

1. Pulmonary Circulation

2. Systemic Circulation

Pulmonary Circulation :

Blood gets deoxygenated as it flows through different parts of body. To make this deoxygenated blood get oxygenated, it flows through the heart.

The blood from all parts of the body enters into the right atria and ventricle through the vena cava. After reaching right ventricle, blood is allowed to pass to the lungs by the pulmonary artery. Here diffusion and exchange of gases takes place due to which blood gets oxygenated.

This oxygenated blood is then carried to the heart by Pulmonary vein. Since this circulation involves the Pulmonary Arteries and Veins, this circulation is called Pulmonary circulation.

Systemic circulation :

After getting oxygenated, blood enters the heart again through the left atria and then passes through the left ventricle. Later the blood is circulated all over the body through the artery called Aorta. Since this takes place in a systemic manner, this is called systemic circulation.

The process of blood flowing twice through the heart is called Double Circulation.

Double Circulation is necessary because :

High energy needs are required by humans in daily activities. This is satisfied only by pure circulation of blood. Hence it is important for Humans.

Hope my answer helped !!

Cheers !!
