what do you mean by the distance between two bodies the gravitational force become one fourth and if we halve the distance between two bodies then the gravitational force become 4 times. Explain it with numerically and theory.

Explanation:

as per the formula F=GM1M2/R^2

so as you cam see F is directly proportional to 1/R^2 or inversely proportional to R^2

so if you double the distance the force will decrease by (2)^2=4

similarly if we half the distance i.e. R/2 so the force becomes 4 times
