1. globe is a three-dimensional, spherical, scale model of Earth (terrestrial globe or geographical globe) or other celestial body such as a planet or moon.

2.
We can locate continent, countries, oceans, rivers, cities by it.

3. prime meridian is a meridian (a line of longitude) in a geographical coordinate system at which longitude is defined to be 0°.

4. An axis is an imaginary line about which a body rotates. Earth's axis is tilted at about 23.4 degrees. The tilt in it's axis causes some places like Norway to have 6 months of daylight and remaining 6 months darkness in a year.

5. An equator is a line notionally drawn on the earth equidistant from the poles, dividing the earth into northern and southern hemispheres and constituting the parallel of latitude 0°.

6. The Earth's Grid System. A system of imaginary lines is used to pinpoint locations on the earth's surface. This system is called the global grid and is made up of two sets of lines that cross each other just like the lines on graph paper.
Its Uses Are - To pinpoint a place using the global grid system, it is necessary to name a pair of numbers called a coordinate. The first number in a coordinate is the line of latitude and the second number is the line of longitude. The coordinate represents where these two lines cross each other and is used to identify exact location on the earth's surface. In a way, a coordinate shows where "X" marks the spot. In the example below, the X is at the spot where 60°south latitude and 30°east longitude intersect. The correct way to write the coordinate where X is located would be 60° S, 30° E.

7. 7 Continents Are There In The World.

8.
The Northern Hemisphere is called the Land Hemisphere because the greater part of Earth's landmass lies in the Northern Hemisphere.

9Any point on the Equator's circle is of latitude 0°, the top north is 90° North, the top south is 90° South. Circles parallels to the Equator are of the same latitude.Longitude: it is the West/East value of a point on Earth. Longitudes are lines going from south pole to north pole.
