metaphor and personification are the two literary terms which are used in English so the metaphor is a word or a phrase which defines the noun or compare it with another noun for example he is as brave as lion in the sentence Brave is metaphor where as personification is a literary device which is used to address something non-living into a living for example the red Death was a mask man in this sentence the red death is personify to a mask man
another example is trees are singing in joy.

Metaphor and personification both are poetic device or figure of speech u can say. Metaphor is used when there is comparison between two person or thing but there is not any comparison word used in it. for ex- Life is a show. where there is comparison between life and show but no comparing words are being used.
Personification is dat figure of speech in which non - living things or lifeless objects are shown to be alive with the statement. for example- Love is blind. or Trees are dancing.

hope this will help uhh
