When materials move from leaves to other tissues to every part of the plant is called Translocation.

Leaves produce carbohydrates (sugar) by photosynthesis , but there are also some parts of the plant that are non-photosynthetic that requires carbohydrates (sugar). In such cases, nutrients are translocated from leaves.
