• Whenever a force Makes a Body Move, Then Work is Said to be Done.

• When Work is Done, an Equal amount of Energy is used up.

• Work is said to be done :

i. When an External Force is applied on the Body

ii. The Displacement is Produced.

WORK DONE = FORCE APPLIED × DISPLACEMENT PRODUCED

W = F × S

W = N × M = 1 Joule.

• When 1N of force Acting on a Body produces a displacement of 1m then the Work done is equal to 1 Joule.

W = 1 kgms^-2 × 1m = kgm^2s^-2.
