In this period there was the end of what historians have called the Pax Romana, which was a period of relative political stability in the Roman Empire which followed the creation of rule by emperors by Augustus. After the death of Marcus Aurelius his son Commodus became the emperor this is all about the Roman Empire around 200

The Roman Empire around 200 C.E. was very large that spanned the whole of the Mediterranean world and most of Europe. ... Some of the disadvantages to controlling such a large Empire was the political instability, economic and social problems and weakening frontier.
