What do you observe when (a) Lead is added to copper chloride solution. (b) Iron is added to copper sulphate solution. Give reasons and write the chemical reactions involved. (i)Here displacement reaction occurs because lead powder reacts with chlorine gas removing solid copper from copper.

(ii)Chloride and produce lead chloride.The copper atom inn copper chloride is displaced by the lead atom and this results in the formation of lead chloride and copper.Hence this of reaction is known as displacement reaction.
