After rain, if the conditions are favourable and if we are looking in the right direction, we may get the magnificent opportunity of seeing a rainbow. A rainbow occurs in the sky after a rain shower opposite to direction of the sun. Scientifically speaking, it occurs due to atmospheric splitting of sunlight into it's constituent colours by tiny water droplets in the atmosphere.
