Yes Durga Pooja is famous in Bengal. But it is more famous in the likes of Bihar. One thing is common in whole country that is CELEBRATION. IN BENGAL ALSO IT IS REALLY GOOD TO SEE DURGA POOJA.

According to sources we know that Durga puja is most famous in Kolkata and its celebrations beings from the very day of Mahalaya !
it is not necessary
like wise it is unnecessary to mention thay durga puja is celebrated more in Bihar !

Durga puja is the main festival in WEST BENGAL.People belonging to every segment of the society look forward to its arrival. The tradition of 'SAKIT PUJA' in India especially in WEST BENGAL through centuries.We generally worship Goddesss Durga in the form of ideals in temples throughout the year.For many indus it is a part of their daily spiritual life but the yearly puja festival is observed in the month of OCTOBER.Here we worship small or big clay ideals.Beautifull decorated in the grandest possible way.Every house hold become jubilant by wearing new clothes and preparing best sweets available.The goddesss now days decorated with costly silver and gold ornaments.A week long festival goes on in the hole of WEST BENGAL.No one wants to miss this greatly enjoyable festival.
