What do you think is the importance of measurement?
Answers
The comparison between unknown and known quantity(standard) is called measurement.
For example:
Physicists try to develop clocks of more accuracy so that any time or time interval can be exactly determined and compared.
Importance of Measurements:
Measurement is part of our daily life. It is used in all our movement, in our research work, our industry. How one knows the distance, the time, the height and the width of any geometrical shape. How one knows his size to buy clothes. How one differentiates between cm, inch, foot, meter, mile and km. How could we deal with studying the universe without measurement? So, measurement is an important part of human beings’ life
1) Accurate Experiment: It is one of the important concepts in science. Without measure, it was tough for scientists to conduct experiments or form theories
2) Technology: To build vehicles, trains, areophane’s, and rockets which facilitates the human, it is impossible without measurements
3) Different Fields: Measurement is important in different department like farming, engineering, construction, commerce and to land on the moon and finding the mass of the earth, the mass of the proton, neutron, and electron
4) Basic: Clock for measuring time, Ruler for measuring distance, Scales for measuring mass, Thermometer for measuring temperature, Ampere Meter for measuring current intensity, etc
