1. India is a tropical country , hence receives direct Sun- rays ,which is an prerequisite for solar energy.

2. Solar energy mainly consist of photo-voltaic cells . They are mainly semi- conductors, which can transform solar (light) energy to electrical energy.

3. Solar energy requires the installment of solar panels and solar cells. These equipment's do require an initial investment. But they have very minimal recurrent cost.

4. Solar energy can be used to light up remote areas ( like mountains or villages) where electric lines cannot be installed.

5. Solar energy usage doesn't generate any waste product like soot, or toxic gases. Hence it is an environment friendly source of energy.
