As we know thyroxine is responsible for metamorphosis in frog, i.e, conversion of tadpole to adult frog.

Now if thyroid gland of tadpole is removed, no thyroxine will be synthesised...hence no frog will develop only tadpole grows in size..and leads to formation of GIANT TADPOLE...
