India currently is under a 3-tier or 3-level system wherein the government works at three different levels in the country. They are -

  • Central Government
  • State Government
  • Local Government

A single-level government in India would give rise to numerous problems. These could be -

  • Governance would become very difficult.
  • Common citizens would not be able to take their problems to the government.
  • Problems will not be solved at the ground level.
  • Local areas will not be able to develop themselves properly.
  • The interaction between the government and the citizens will become impossible.
  • Law and order will not be implemented appropriately.
  • Democracy will be hindered because of the chaos created in the nation.
