what do you undersatnd by environmental movement ? briefly describe the role of any such movement in conservation of biodiversity and protection of environment.

The environmental movement is also referred to as the ecology movement. It is a diverse scientific, social, and political movement which deals with environmental issues. It includes conservation and green politics.

            Environmentalists put forward the idea of sustainable management of resources and looking after the environment through changes in public policy and individual behavior. It considers humanity as a participant in the ecosystems. The central theme of the movement is ecology, health, and human rights.

            It is an international movement which is represented by a range of organizations. It varies from country to country. As it has a large membership and varied  it is not always united in its goals.            

            It movement also includes some other movements with a more specific focus, like the climate movement. On the whole, the movement includes private citizens, religious devotees, professionals, politicians, non profit organizations, scientists, and individual advocates.
