atmospheric pressure is the pressure applied by the air around us.

it changes with altitude altitude as as when we go to a higher altitude the a i r becomes thinner and thinner

The pressure exerted by the atmosphere per unit area by the the weight of air column above it is called atmospheric pressure.

As the altitude increases the A.P. decreases and vice versa.
