Election Commission of India's ModelCode of Conduct is a set of guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India for conduct of political parties and candidates during elections mainly with respect to speeches, polling day, polling booths, election manifestos, processions and general conduct.

- Code of Conduct for elections refers to a set of guidelines issued by the election commission for the political parties and candidates on their conduct during elections. This Model is meant for ensuring a free and fair election.
- It is to ensure that the ruling party and state parties do not misuse their position or take advantage of higher authority to gain an unfair edge. As the election commission announced the schedule, these sets of principles come into force.
- The election commission sets observers who is meant to observe any mishappenings. It includes moral conduct which avoids hatred speaking or speaking against any community or religion, criticism of other parties, avoids vote appeals on communal feelings, avoid using of individual land building and avoiding corrupt practices within 100 meters distance of the polling station.
- It is also maintained on meeting holdings, decision on venues, procession, and polling booth.
