The movement of materials from an high pressure area to a low pressure area is known as diffusion. Diffusion can occur in gases and liquids. In liquids, if it happens through a semi-permeable membrane, it is called osmosis.

Example, If there is CO2 filled in a room, and if you open that room, the air from outside and CO2 will diffuse with each other

Anonymous: aayega bol dena ki diffusion takes place in solid also but have a many resons
secret6: ok
Anonymous: In solids, particularly, diffusion occurs due to thermally-activated random motion of atoms - unless the material is at absolute zero temperature.

Hello friend here is your answer
DIFFUSION REFERS TO THE PROCESS OF SPONTANEOUS INTERMIXING OF TWO PARTICLES WHITHOUT ANY PRESSURE OR FORCE .
EXAMPLE : WHEN WE DROP A SOLUTION INTO WATER IT MIXES.
