An organ like wings in birds is of advantage to the organism. Did wings arise in stages or were formed due to a single sudden change in the DNA? Explain

Well, it is not a sudden change . Because the feature given to birds enabling them to fly have been a feature that has been adapted by them from flying organisms at first they were adopted to keep them warm but later as time evolved so did they and so they started to fly using the very wings they adopted
