exothermic reaction is the process in which a reaction emits heat to the surrounding.endothemic reaction is the process in which a reaction absorb heat from the surrounding.water+carbondioxide =glucose and oxgen

Exothermic = These reactions release heat while reaction:

Ca + H₂O-------------->Ca(OH)₂

Endothermic: These reaction require heat do perform a reaction:

HCO₃ + H--------->H₂O + CO₂

Photosynthesis:

6CO₂+ 12H₂O----------------->C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ + 6H₂O
