  • Time period- The time taken by a wave to complete one cycle of vibration is called its time period. It is measured in seconds(s)

Relation between frequency and time period is:-

where f stands for frequency and T stands for time interval. Therefore, the greater the time period of a wave, the lower is its frequency.
