Homophones are words that have same sound , thanks to that all-important suffix “-phone,” which means sound but are spelled differently.
For example:
1. “plate” and “plait.”
2. their and there.
3. too and two.
Homohyms are words that have same spelling and same pronounciation  but have different meaning.
For 
example,
1. l
eft (opposite of right) and left (departed from)
2.
scale(used to weigh things) and scale (climb)
3.fair( as in price) and fair( as in equal)
