What do you understand by rabi crop and kharif crop ? When they are sown and harvested ?

rabi crops are crops which are sown in winter and harvested in spring.kharif crops are sown in may or June and are harvested in October at its begining. rabi is also called the winter crops and kharif the summer crop .
