Hey Friend,
Natural Vibration or Free Vibration -
1. The vibrations produced in a body, on being slightly disturbed from its mean position.
2. The periodic vibrations of a body of constant amplitude in the absence of any external force.
3. These vibrations are possible in the absence of any medium i.e. in vaccum.
4. Examples -
* A freely suspended pendulum vibrating about its mean position
* A tuning fork on being struck on rubber pad
* Strings of various musical instruments on being plucked.
Note - The above examples are taking place in vaccum.
Hope it helps!
