Following steps have been taken by the government of India-

1) For prevention of illegal trade and haunting of wildlife, "Wildlife Crime Control Beureau" is established.

2) Government banned the hunting of endangered species of the animals.

3) Central government also empowered the CBI in order to deal with illegal hunters and men involved in it.
