The tendency of an object or body to oppose any change in it state of rest or motion is called inertia.
It depends on the mass of the object. Greater the mass, greater the inertia it will posses.
You cant say which will have more inertia in between a soft and a hard ball as it depends on mass not the surface or any other trait.

Noctua @_@

karimmallickoud4v4: Thnx but there is a problem with this question
Anonymous: yes there is

- Inertia means the natural tendency of objects to resist a change in their state of rest or of uniform motion is called inertia
- The mass of a body determines the inertia of a body
- Hard cricket ball has more inertia than that of soft cricket ball because the mass of the hard cricket ball is more when compared to soft cricket ball.

Hope it helps u....
