the heat required to convert a solid into a liquid or vapour , or a liquid into a vapour , without change of Temperature is called latent heat .the latent heat of fusion of ice is 0°C ..

Latent heat of fusion is the heat required to change 1 kg of a solid substance . For example amount of heat required to melt ice at 0 degree Celsius into water at 0 degree Celsius will be known as the Latent heat of Fusion .
