The poet wants to point out the similarities between a house and a tree.
Just like our house, a tree gives us shelter in sun, rain and cold.
The shade under a tree is like the roof on the top of our house.
The wind coming from leaves is just like fresh air coming out from a window.
The roots of the tree are like the pillars of our house.
