Constitution is the supreme law of the land. It contains rules according to which a state is constituted or governed. It mentions the ideology and principles according to which the country's political system or politics work. Besides the government and its systems , the Constitution also provides for the citizens , the rights and duties.

There are mainly five functions of the Constitution:

It allows coordination and assurance.

It specifies the decision making powers or how the government will be constituted.

It sets some limits on what a government can impose on its citizens.

It enables the government to fulfill the aspirations and goals of the society and creates conditions for a just society.

it expresses the fundamental identity of the people.
