Stomatas are pores which facilitate transpiration.
Transpiration is the process where loss of water occurs in the form of water vapour through the aeriel parts of the plants such as stomatas , lenticels and cuticle.
The plants adapt itself to the climate as -
• Plants found at the desert region have thorns and spines instead of leaves and their height is stunted to preserve water.
• Plants which are found at a marshy have stilt roots or breathing roots(pneumatophores) , and even salt glands to respire in the tidy regions.
• Leaves of certain plants fold mostly during midday to prevent the loss of water through stomatas.
Plants have their own movement to adapt themselves to climates so that they fully survive it.
