Phototropism is one of the many plant tropisms or movements which respond to external stimuli. Growth towards a lightsource is called positive phototropism, while growth away from light is called negative phototropism (skototropism). A gravitropism (also called a 'geotropism') is a tropism where gravity is the stimulus

A stem actually follows the light path, they move in direction of source of light.

This phenomena is known as phototropism.

This follows as vending if stem towards the source of light.
