hey there,

Communalism between different religious groups means that they belong to the same religion but their concepts and belief differ. This is also called sects of the same religion.

For example in Islam, people are divided into different religious communities. Their basic belief is the same but some of their beliefs are different from each other along with some of the religious practices. The same ones join and together form a community.

The concept of communalism was first seen in the African communities and is considered as a historical concept.

Thanks for asking.

Communalism in the western world as “theory or system of government in which autonomous local communities are loosely in federation”.

Communalism is a political philosophy which promotes that market and money be abolished and land and enterprises to be placed in custody of community.

In Indian sub-continent context communalism has to be linked with tensions and clashes between different religious communities in different regions.
