Coniferous forests are forests consisting pines, spruce and fir trees. The question is asking factors that affect forests (in a bad way) which consist of pine trees, cone bearing shrubs, fir trees etc .

nesthangam: oh.thnks
nesthangam: if the problem is cutting trees then we have to write the reason why people cut down trees write?
lfstone3: right. For example people usually in countries like USA which celebrate christmas cut fir trees and cone trees in a large scale to sell it.
lfstone3: It is over exploited for decoration.
nesthangam: ya thnks for clearing my doubt
lfstone3: welcome! :)
lfstone3: and please mark it as the best!

Answer:

The coniferous forests are increasingly threatened by many factors, mostly from humans. One of the biggest threats is deforestation for land development and building construction.
