What does it mean if an element or compound or ion is paramagnetic, diamagnetic, feromagnetic and how to find what it is. with some examples please.​

Answer:

it is the property of every matter,that it possess.

whereas the nature behind diamagnetism or paramagnetism is understandable by counting the no of electron present either in pair or not,

paired electron in matter-"di"amagnetic

eg-CH4 ,10 electron,diamagnetic

but property of,having paramagnetism or ferromagnetism is not theritically understandable,it could be understood by microscopic observation like domains study (orientation of group of electron in definite direction) or ferromagnetism can checked also by weakly or strong attraction in magnetic field practically.

you should remember ferromagnetic material like mn,Fe etc.
