What does it mean when supreme court declares a law unconstitutional?

It means that the law which is made by the parliament is not according to the fundamentals of constitution. It violates the constitution.

When the court determines that a legislative act or a law defy with the constitution, it finds it unconstitutional and declares it void in whole or partially.
