in ph P stands for german word 'potenz' which means power and latter H stands for hydrogen ion concentration【H+】

" p " stands for Potential and " H" stands for Hydrogen. So, that make it as clear as mud.
You want to know what is potential hydrogen????
A scienctific explanation would state that pH refers to plant ability to attract hydrogen ions.
A less scientific states that pH is acid and alkaline .
