Julius Caesar realises that something might be amiss as Calpurnia had screamed thrice in her sleep about Caesar's murder. But he does not take it as seriously as Calpurnia and feels that offering a sacrifice, probably of an animal, to the Gods should suffice to bring all to normalcy. He sends a servant to ask the priests to carry out a sacrifice, after which they were to inform him of the chances of success, improvements and developments that they observe in his fortune.
