heya there!!

=> The embryo gets nutrition from the mother's blood with the help of a special tissue called placenta. The developing embryo will generate waste substances which can be removed by transferring them into the mother's blood through the placenta.

Hope it helps you

Answer:

Placenta is the barrier between mother and fetus because the mother's blood flows through the placenta to the fetus.

All the nutrients, food, oxygen goes from mother to baby via the umbilical cord. Placenta filters the harmful substances and removes waste products from the baby's blood.

Placenta develops in the mother's womb. It is not just an organ it is life for the baby.

Both mother and baby blood filters through the placenta. If the placenta does not work properly severe complications are raised.

Placental insufficiency leads to veginal bleeding and the baby will not grow properly, sometimes abortions also occurred.
