Hajj is a pilgrimage to the Holy City of Makkah during the Islamic month of Zul Hajj. Hajj is a compulsory duty for Muslims that must be fulfilled once in a lifetime by all Muslims who are financially, physically, and mentally capable enough.

There are three faraiz (mandatory parts) in Hajj:

1. Wearing a special outfit "Ihram"

2. Staying at Arafat on 9 Zil hajj from day till sunset

3. "Tawaf" of Ka'aba ( Walking in circles around the Kaaba)

There are also seven Wajibat (Essential parts):

1. To perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwa( These are two small hills. A Haji must travel from Safa to Marwa seven times).

2. To stay the night of 10 Zil Hajj at Muzdalfa.

3. To perform Rami of largest statue on 10 Zil Hajj. ( Rami is throwing small stones, at a statue representing devil)

4. To sacrifice an animal on 10 Zil Hajj

5. To remove one's hair from the head after sacrificing of animal.( for men only)

6. To perform Rami of all three statues on 11 and 12 Zil Hajj.

7. Final Tawaf of Ka'aba.
