The fruits in the place are extremely sour in taste and the flowers are so fragrant that you can keep them at home. The narrator has a very positive attitude towards English language and considers that English should not become more important than Kannada.

the narrator describe his village hosahalli as an unknown village that cannot be found on any map of India. he speaks about a doctor in their village name the gunda bhatta. he also is very proud about Mango that grows in their village which is extreme sour.. you also says about creeper growing in the the ever so fine water of the village pond . it flowers are a feast to behold .
