‘Raging skies’ refers to the stormy seas. Dark clouds covered the sky; a strong gale began to blow across the loch. As Lord Ullin’s daughter and Chief of Ulva were running away to get married, Lord Ullin and his men were chasing them. As they reached the stormy Lochgyle, they decided to cross it in the storm. Finally, the boat was drowned in the stormy Lcohgyle.
