Lord Dalhousie introduced doctrine of lapse between 1848 and 1856. The policy of annexation of Dalhousie particularly called doctrine of lapse

Doctrine of lapse is a policy which is introduced by Dalhousie.In this policy if any king haven't their natural heir the king was not allowed to adopt any heir for throne.
