They are the plants which dont have the capability of flowering. They also fail to produce seeds and cones. These type of plants are found in great number in temperate forests and boreal forests. In order to reproduce they have exposed or naked seeds. They are vasular. Examples are shrubs which are woody, fir tree, pineapple etc.  Male gametes are found in pollen grains and are transferred to female reproductive organs by wind or insects.
