Characteristics of this curve are following:

This is the equation of the curve which overlap the x and y axis. In other word, we can say, this is the equation of curve formed by x and y axis or curve created by two lines x = 0 and y = 0.

This is the curve which goes up to infinite in all 4 direction(x, -x, y, -y)

This is the curve we draw first before drawing any curve. For example we need to draw a circle of equation x^2 + y^2 = 4. So before drawing this circle we first need to draw x and y axis which is curve xy = 0.
