Ensuring security and safety of ones family is key to any person today. There are many ways in which this can be achieved. Easiest way is to leverage technology to protect you by installing security devices at home and using wearable devices when you travel. In addition to that here are some actions that one can take to ensure the safety & security of your faily & community.

Security starts at the front door. Be careful when you open the front door of your home without knowing who is outside. A large number of break-ins happen in broad daylight and happen because people opened their front door to strangers without speaking with them first and knowing who they are. Always see if you can identify your visitor before you open the front door.

Leaving doors/windows open. The indian climate forces many people to keep some doors & windows open during the day and sometimes at night to combat the heat. These provide golden opportunities for people to try and enter such homes in order to steal. Please be wary that you have a grill if you keep your windows open and ensure that you dont keep any valuables within reach.

Speaking to strangers when on the road is never a good idea - especially for children and young women. Also going out alone at odd times specifically in areas that are known to have high levels of crime is not recommended. There are numerous incidences of women and children being abducted at knife point or gun point with horrendous consequences.
