Factors responsible for maximum land degradation:

There are some factors responsible for maximum land degradation process.

a. Deforestation-Forests are responsible to maintain the fertility of the soil. Forests can be able to bind the soil particles to help in the roots of the vegetation.

b. Overgrazing-Due to the excessive grazing the vegetation cannot survive so the soil erosion take place.

c. Heavy use of fertilizers or pesticides-The abnormal use of fertilizers may cause the imbalance of the nutrients in the soil. Fertilizers are helpful to increase the production but this can degrade the land.
